FCSA: Online

You can now consult your Fichier central des sinistres automobiles (FCSA) claims history statement on line! The data base, which is managed by Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA), tracks losses filed by Quebec drivers for the past six years. You can also request a copy of your statement by mail or in person at GAA's offices.

Water damage

Water damage comes in many forms. Your water heater cracks and floods the floor. The water main in front of your house bursts and floods your property. Or, the sewer backs up and floods your basement. While your home insurance policy does cover water damage ... there are some cases when it doesn't.

All depends on the coverage you chose when you purchased your policy and the cause of the loss.
