Sneezing
and accidents

Cold or allergies? You’re driving along and suddenly you sneeze… then you hear a crunch! You rear-end the car in front. Does your auto insurance cover the damage to your vehicle? Yes, it does. Your car insurance policy covers such damage if you purchased Collision or Upset coverage (Section B).

No matter the situation, it’s important to stay alert when you drive.

Winter driving

Since driving conditions can change quickly during the winter, it’s important to take certain precautions to avoid accidents. For example, don’t tailgate! Keep enough distance between you and the car in front so that you can brake in case the road surface is slippery. Also, find out about road conditions before you set out, or change your plans if conditions are bad.

Always keep a survival kit in your car and an extra bottle of windshield wiper fluid.

Condos
and insurance

Two insurance policies are in effect for condominiums, one for the condominium syndicate's portion and one for each co-owner's private portion. Co-owner’s insurance covers personal property, civil liability and post-construction improvements. And the syndicate’s insurance covers the common portions, including hallways and roofs, as well as the building portions of the private portions such as walls and windows.

In case of loss, these two policies could share the compensation.
