Residential wood heating
Now that winter is on our doorstep, are you thinking about adding a wood burning fireplace or stove in your home?
Before you do,
consult the Guide to residential wood heating and find out about the various wood heating appliances,
installation and safety features. You should also know that if you have such an appliance in your home, you need to inform
your insurer about it as this will be a factor in establishing your insurance premium.

Joint Report
In Quebec, if you're in a collision without injury, you only need to fill in the Joint Report and notify your insurer.
The faster you file your claim, the faster it will be settled. In addition, it's good to know that when you fill in the Joint Report, it is not an admission of liability of the
drivers involved in the collision; it simply identifies the parties involved. Don't have a copy in your glove compartment? You can order one by
filling in this form.

Fire prevention measures
