Theft and vandalism

Ask someone to pick up your mail, newspapers and flyers. Have Canada Post hold back your mail.
And don't forget to temporarily suspend your newspaper delivery.

Install a programmable timer for inside and outside lights, if possible.

Ask someone to mow the lawn during the summer or shovel the snow from your entrance and driveway
during the winter.

Don't leave a message on your voice-mail saying how long you'll be away.

If possible, leave a vehicle in the driveway and ask someone to move it from time to time.
