Information Center - Settling Differences

An Efficient and Cost-effective Alternative

The Insurance Information Centre helps policyholders who have a conflict with their insurer. Certain situations, such as a claim settlement, can sometimes lead to a disagreement between the insured and the insurer. Yet, in many cases, there is no need to go to court to settle the matter. Indeed, through the Information Centre, policyholders have access to a dispute resolution service (in some circumstances) that is less time-consuming and less costly than legal recourse.

Throughout the entire process, the information agent who is assigned to the case ensures that each step runs smoothly. All costs related to this service are absorbed by the property and casualty insurance industry.

An informal resolution, without the administrative complexity of legal recourse: this is what the Insurance Information Centre offers consumers.
