The origins of the Joint Report

To expedite and facilitate the accident report.

  • The Joint Report was launched in 1979. It was a first in North America, inspired from the experience in France.
  • The objective is simple: reduce delays and claim settlement costs.
  • The Joint Report is a simple tool that can be completed quickly after a collision without injury, allowing the parties involved to identify themselves and report the accident to their respective insurers very quickly. With a Joint Report, the police no longer have to come to the scene of the accident for a simple fender bender.
  • Some 25 million copies of the Joint Report have been distributed over the past 30 years.
