Off-Road Vehicles - Documentation
You must always carry the following with you: your vehicle registration papers issued under the Highway Safety Code, proof of civil liability insurance, proof of age and, depending on the case, your certificate of competency or authorization to operate the vehicle. If a highway patrol officer stops you and you fail to produce the required documentation, you are in violation of the law and may be fined between $100 and $200. If you have borrowed or leased the off-road vehicle for a period less than a year, you must carry a document attesting to the term of the loan or a copy of the lease contract.
